While performing your Bank Reconciliation you can lock a reconciled transaction in the bank reconciliation to prevent the entry from being un-reconciled.
If the user has the necessary security rights, they can unlock a locked reconciled transaction.
Using the Lock/Unlock range function you can select to lock or unlock a range of transactions in the bank reconciliation using a reference/cheque, date, or description range.
