All Cashbooks deal with transactions debiting and crediting your bank.
Receipts and deposit information will debit the bank account where payments, bank charges, etc. will credit the bank.
Several other types of transactions (e.g., bank drafts, bank transfers, adjustment entries, etc.) may also pass through the Cashbook.
Periodically, you are able to compare these entries made into the Cashbook with your bank statement by performing a bank reconciliation.
