While performing your Bank Reconciliation you can lock a reconciled transaction in the bank reconciliation to prevent the entry from being un-reconciled.
If the user has the necessary security rights, they can unlock a locked reconciled transaction.
By using the Lock/Unlock range function you can select to lock or unlock a range of transactions in the bank reconciliation using a reference/cheque, date, or description range.

If you wish to lock or unlock transactions individually on your spreadsheet and not by a range of transactions (as above), when the cursor is on a cell in your spreadsheet on the entry you wish to lock or unlock you can Right click your mouse.
A pop-up menu is displayed.
If you choose the Lock option for a reconciled entry, the transaction is immediately locked.
The status column displays a L and the entry cannot be altered.
If you choose the unlock option for a locked entry, the transaction is immediately unlocked.
The status column displays a cross and the entry can be altered.
