Entries are saved as soon as you exit the field. This makes sure that you don’t lose any information and your RecXpress grid is always up to date. Real time saving.
You can edit an existing rule by selecting the category and clicking on the pencil or drill down icon. It will call up the exact row in the rule that it has been matched to. This feature allows you to fix any default information that was entered incorrectly in the first place. E.g. Casual Labour might have been allocated to Salaries and Wages. You would want to change that to Casual Wages for future entries to be matched to.
After you have set up everything in RecXpress and have all your entries broken up by category, you can scroll through each category and make sure that the defaults are correctly set up.
Once you are happy, you select the + button to clear the category and run the Renumbering process:
The renumbering process we added to ensure that the numbers remained in
sequence. Although it should create the next number when importing the batch,
you might have to re-import or remove entries.
This will cause the next
number to go out of sequence. To prevent this, you can renumber all the entries
before you create the batch. This process will look at the existing Cashbook
posted entries and pick up the last number in the database using the prefix to
locate correctly. It will then start the numbering process from that point and
renumber all the entries in sequence belonging to that prefix.
